"Woodwork Chardonnay exhibits the striking balance of rich tropical fruit and fragrant oak. The nose opens with lovely pineapple, caramel and vanilla aromas. In the mouth, ripe apple and pear flavors develop, accompanied by shortbread and baking spices. The harmonious integration o fruit and spice unfolds with round, creamy texture and generous weight on the palate."
"Pale yellow in the glass with a steely glare and a very ex- pressive bouquet that displays fruity notes of apple, wild and passion fruit. Remarkable floral aromas and intense herbal notes combine with a spicy character with attrac- tive notes of ginger, typical of this variety. The mouth of this lively and seductive wine has excellent acidity that enhances its freshness. A smooth wine, easy to drink and great aromatic persistence thanks to its remarkable citrus character."
"Fruit for the 2012 Saddleback Viognier came from the Baranek Family Vineyard in Clarksburg, Calif. The wine’s floral and fruitful aroma lures one to a viscous mouthfeel and a long, pleasing after-flavor. It’s a wonderful sipping wine, or pair it with lighter fare."
"To insure the purest expression of the grapes, the wine was fermented in stainless steel with no oak contact. The color is very pale straw with hints of green. Aromas of flowers and lychee are immediately present while hints of spice follow more delicately. The wine is soft and elegant with nice weight. The floral and fruits are repeated on the palate. Although the wine is very dry, there is a note of honey on the finish."
